From what I read their were Russian troops on that base and may have unknowingly helped load and fuel the plane that drop the bomb. True or not. If Trump wants to try and have a relationship with Russia it was in the best interests to inform them about what was going to happen. Only time well tell how it plays out. From what I've read Russia is pissed but still willing to meet and talk about what happened. If Russian troops were killed I don't think that would be the case. I also don't think Putin is as gun hoe for a war with the US as so many people think he is.

Russian troops were informed, at least from what I've read. IMO this is all a ploy. Trump's ties to Russia have been a hot button issue for months now. What better way to dispel those "rumors" than to attack a Syrian airbase with Russian troops on it? Russia gets "mad", begins to mobilize into a more strategic military position against us. News media stops reporting on Russian ties and Bannon's removal from the NSC (see how quick all that is off the front page). Russia and the US look like their moving towards the brink of WWIII, BUT WAIT! Trump and Putin meet, and hammer out a glorious peace agreement the likes no one has ever seen, and at the core of that agreement are the relaxation or dissolution of many US sanctions on Russia.

Hold on though, it gets better. Nikki Haley will be the key piece in a new UN resolution that both satisfies Russia (possibly more dissolution of sanctions) and puts Syria in the target line. She'll look like a slam dunk appointment and have a great notch to add to her resume when the GOP run her as their presidential candidate in 2024.

This is what I read also, but I can bet ya there ain't no country gun hoe to go to war with us!! It would be a surprise to anyone that ever invades this coast line! Even as divided as our country is there's to many people willing to fight for family for em to get to far inland! I appreciate the fact that trump actually did something tho approval or not genocide is bullshit our country knows to well we experimented on troops with mustard gas, how'd that go? I think Putin wants to be a Stalin but dont have the sack when it comes down to it!
 
wouldn't bombing and killing a 3rd party (ruskies) be extremely reckless and negligent? it seems that some folks feel that's the only way it would look "honest". are trump and putin cozy? i dunno, there is so much speculation out there that i can't sort it out. but, does giving the ruskies a heads up to boogie support said cozy relationship? no. we would have and should have warned just about any other country that had assets at that location.
