And you can't find anything to chock the tires.

For what it's worth, you should put the straps at the closest point on the wheels.
Wouldn't have changed anything. For what it's worth, you should put the straps at the closest point on the wheels.
You're right. That's why I didn't waste my words explaining.Wouldn't have changed anything.

Just like when you bought the second tilt trailer.Wouldn't have changed anything.
If it shifts at all, the distance between the holes would reduce and the strap could be spit out.Wouldn't have changed anything.
Exactly what I wanted.
He doesn't know how to use safety wire either. If it shifts at all, the distance between the holes would reduce and the strap could be spit out.
Who said anything about safety wire?He doesn't know how to use safety wire either.
The positioning of the strap like safety wire on bolts could prevent the tires from turning. Pretty simple analogy, I'm not surprised you didn't get it.Who said anything about safety wire?
I didn't have my strap twisting pliers with me.The positioning of the strap like safety wire on bolts could prevent the tires from turning. Pretty simple analogy, I'm not surprised you didn't get it.

And if gravity had reversed it would have floated off the ground.
Sure.
But people have walked by and bumped into trailers. Dogs have ran by and bumped into trailers. Deer have ran through yards and bumped into trailers.
Never in the recorded history of the universe has gravity magically "reversed".
I, and others, view our job to be as reasonably safe as is possible. To try and prevent things that could reasonably happen.
Thats all Matt was offering ....a better alternative.
But your trailer didnt roll away (this time) and Fuller's control arms didnt break so both are perfect by your logic...

According to some of the people on this forum it would only work if you did it in accordance to whatever standard of excellence they deem necessary. But yes it would work. Just like it worked when I did it.I have a question, just cause I never thought about doing this before. If someone had a single axle trailer instead, would this work by hooking to the wheel and the frame of the trailer?

I already died twice just from reading about it.Yes, and will be every bit as sketchy.![]()
