I was about to purchase several Johnny Joints and then people started telling me about the barnes 4wd enduro joint. From a quick search of the product online, I have not seen many reviews from customers that have ran/used them.

I would like to know who has personal experience with these joints.

What are your thoughts on them? Good, Bad

Would you recommend them to others?

Please help me and others out that want to know more about these from people who are currently using them.

Thanks

I'll be using atleast one on my rear traction bar when I build it. Will report back.

I have had them on my TJ for about 4 years now and I grease them very occasionally. Haven't yet had to tighten one. Granted my jeep has only 35" tires and I wheel it 6 or 7 times a year. Lots of road miles on them as well. I believe they are a bit overkill for my application but that's how I like it anyway.

Using them for lowers on both our TJs. No complaints.

I made my own Dom control arms with the barnes joints for my dodge 3500 diesel. With all that weight on the front and hwy speeds I've yet to have a problem. Great products and a great guy to deal with.

Wife has 25k on hers. 4 linked rears and ironman 4x4 long arms running them. Been wheel some at ure and i grease them when i change the oil. Still as smooth and quite as day one.

Wanna revive this old thread for more current reviews. I’m in the market for a set of joints for my buggy build. Anything new to report? @Jody Treadway

To me they've lost the appeal with the snap ring design. Used to you could adjust the joint to compensate for where, now they're not much different than a Heim. Plus Heims have better bolt choices. If you really want rebuildable joints I'd look into Summit Machine or TMR.

It costs $5 to rebuild and grease an enduro joint.

Yeah and about $50 worth of cussing and throwing shit, getting the snap ring back in is dang near impossible. Plus there's not joint tool like there is for the currie style.

Large Enduro Joint Rebuild Tool Kit

while not for all Enduro Joints, they have at least offered something to help take the $50 of cussing and make it $25.

I do agree that the change in design really hindered the appeal to me but, patent infringement will do that I guess.
