For all of those without personal experience, this is what giving up on a childhood dream looks like.

First round of tools to "go back" to a tool man. Thought I'd have a job by now, as the magic 8 ball would say, "Outlook Not So Good".

It was a toss up, but it was pretty random, so this one won out.

But it does suck ass that after 13 years in the automotive business, I've finally realized that I'm not cut out for line tech work. I take it too personally, take too much of it home with me, and generally do work fast enough to make money. Being too meticulous and never trusting yourself does that.

Being under the flat rate gun is tiresome. There are places where that isn’t an issue

Ran across some things today; B model Mack, 66 F 100 [or the grill is], & a Very rusted out Falcon! Being that the B - Mack's had such a small cab, some guys have dropped the cab on a 1 ton dually frame, with a Diesel engine / Rat Rod, or Custom.

I would like to have the b model mack. I have a 1995 ford f350 single wheel running gear with a 6in lift and 60 front to put that on and have a 50 ford f3 8ft bed nd want to put some b model fender's on it to make it match. I have been collecting this stuff for a few years now.

That looks like a Ranchero. My dad drove a B mack in the 60's. I'd love to have more money than sense and buy that and restore it and give it to him....

I'll see what I can find out. Looks like body work was started on it, new tires at one time, new grill. Motor is still there, but I didn't get any closer.

Also, I like this "reasonably good looking 18" OEM wheel" trend that is going on right now. Makes for a steady supply of $600-700 takeoffs with new tires.

Trucks over 8500 (or something like that) don't have to be disclosed, as they're in the HD category. They still have to be tested and meet emissions certifications or whatever, but the numbers don't have to be disclosed to the public. So it's not a free pass to have whatever emissions you want when designing a truck.
I remember seeing something about that a while back.
