Random pic thread.

Not at all.
The people running them are US citizens and legal immigrants same as anyone else in town. Also the food comes from US distributors.

Im more worried about Taco Bell than any Chinese takeout joint.

Pre-covid we used to eat regular at a chunk joint. There was just about always one or two of the family that were off visiting in China, had just gotten back, or were fixin to go.

Same with an Italian family at an Italian place. Last time we ate there was when covid was peaking in Italy, and they (after we ate) told us they had just come back from an Italy trip a few days prior.

Two interior pics, or lack of. So far, I heard they owner picked it up for $3500, & started restoration. Life got in the way, & here it sits. Lowesville, NC. I will try to make a phone as soon as I can get a number. Could be worth it to a Big truck restorer, but not for a body swap, or rat rod. Plus towing!
Really a clean, straight truck, & I expect more parts are stored somewhere. Complete truck, engine, trans, diffs. Looked for the VIN plate, but it might be under the hood.
I have sent PM s to the ones that seemed interested, since I finally got a Name & Number!

I see the Health grades that come out about once a month on local joints. Almost all, Asian, & Mexican places will have the Worst grades! Around me, there is one franchise, Sake Express, with a "Mix" of employees, that Do have good Health scores in their Restaurants! The rest of them, I never set a foot in them, or Take-out!

Found a Poo Wagon, today.

Funny story time.... Several years ago, I pulled into the gas station in Tramway, on the South end of US1 at Sanford late at night, around 11. This chinese guy comes up to me, jibberjabbering in Chinknian, obviously distressed. He had an atlas, but as far as I could communicate with him, he had no address, just a bunch of memorized directions, in Chinese. One word he kept repeating, I thought it sounded like La Montesina, a pizza place on the north end of town. There is/was a bat joint right next door. Well out of my way, but I got him to follow me in his renta-car. He was fresh off the boat (plane), and there were about 20 folks at the restaurant waiting for him. He was telling each one about me helping him, they were all thanking me in some engrish and mostly chinese. One guy that spoke better english came up and said I'd eat free there every time I went.

I mean...I can’t hate on the strategy

Last full day, and finally some time to be alone and unwind.

Battery died in my little Kubota. Exactly 10 years. Sticker is August 2010. Not too shabby at all.

That really don’t use much power, The dynamo on mine seized several years ago (2011) I converted it over to a Toyota forklift alternator (easy to do, same frame as the Kubota alt, different plug) I ran it almost a year basically as a belt tensioner to keep the water pump and fan spinning, as I didn’t have the time to rework the wiring to make it charge. It started and ran that whole time Total loss on battery. I never jumpstarted it. Fuel solenoid has a 5a fuse, probably draws 2a to hold it open. That’s the only electrical thing it has working if the lights aren’t on. Battery quality is a thing though. In 10 years I’ve replaced the battery twice. First replacement lasted 2years, it was an Advance Battery

It cranked fine the other day. Didn't want to turn it over. Multimeter read 12.4 volts. My battery tester measured it at 24 cranking amps. It was still trying, just didn't have enough left.

You got all of it !
Keep an eye on the belt and pulleys when hood is up and engine running, the belt was loose enough it just slid over the pulley for dynamo, temps never came Up fan and water pump happy as can be spinning away if I didn’t look directly at it I wouldn’t have known. No idea how long it had been like that.
