Kayaking

There are a lot more kayakers on here than I expected!

My interest lies mostly in River kayaking with mild rapids (class I-III).
Same, I am actually surprised. It sounds almost like we need to plan a float trip. Ive done my fair share of white water but now I prefer just relaxing and fishing.

My backyard. We back up to a creek so we can kayak and duck hunt right out of the back yard.
Nice. It looks just like the river at my work, like, just like it. I couldn't believe you drove all the way from Creedmoor to kayak here, but you never know lol

Say when

Kayaking is something that I have been wanting to get into for the last 4-5 years. I've been before and I love it, just never actually pulled the trigger on buying a pair of em for the wife and I.

Wife and I used to 'yak pretty often, mostly on the Dan. Stay off the Haw river if it hasn’t been raining recently (that was a long 8 miles haha). She keeps reminding me that we need to get back into it. My 10 yr old loves it and has her own kayak now. I much prefer rivers to lakes. We had Perception sit-in kayaks and loved them. X2 on them being a jack-of-all-trades sort of boat. An nc4x4 yak trip would be fun!

always wanted to, never have pulled the trigger. Wouldn't mind having one of the hybrid canoe things so a kiddo could ride along (or a dead deer, or beer, or decoys)

We have had a lot of rain this summer so the primrose isn't as thick this summer. Normal summers it almost touches over the channel, more like your creek.

We have a couple kayaks. Just some short recreational ones. Fairly stable. Stable enough for me to fish out of and dick hunt as well.
We used to go a lot, then the kiddos came along and our focus changed. But they are old enough now and enjoy the kayaks (and SUPs).

need to do a float trip.

Yup that is incredibly similar. Drop in a few old rotted out duck blinds and you have my backyard haha.
