Bought a trailer for sole purpose of reselling. Seller filled out my buyer information at the top. Anyone know if there is an easy way to swap it over directly into the buyers name at the dmv whether then wait until I swap in my name, receive title then repeat?

Legally and functionally, no. You'll have to transfer it to your name and get a new title. And pay taxes and BS.

You could also tell the seller you lost the title and have them apply for a duplicate title, but if they are onto your game they may make you fill out the info again.

Or have a buddy in SC buy it from you?

Or call it a homebuilt and apply for a new title.

But the simplest option is to just suck it up, title it, and move on.

To them, you are not the lawful owner until you transfer it.only the owner can sell it. They get theirs

Matt definitely cannot do that i bought from a government auction. Large hudson so cannot do the homebuilt method either

Is it notarized? If so, you can likely take it to the tag office, with the new buyer, and go ahead and have them transfer it into their name. Doesnt really save the hassle, but saves some waiting. If it isnt notarized, you will need that before you can do anything.
