Been working on this 6 point cage for a guy, he brought it by Sept. 1st, finished it up yesterday (8th) at about 11:30 PM. His cage he had before wasn't legal for NOPI rules (basically NHRA rules), so he had to get a new one. Turned out really good, gonna mount a passenger seat when he gets one for it.

I'll try to get some pics of the whole car, I had to build a front bumper for it as well to protect the $500 intercooler in case of a crash...

How much weight does all that tubing add to a little 240sx?

Not much. It is all .095 tube instead of .120. The two drivers side door bars are .120 because I ran out of .095, and figured it would be the best place for the extra strength.

Basically 3 sticks of tube, bot sure how much that weighs, but you gotta have it to race, so there is no getting around it.

I told him the Toyota bolts I used to hold the front bumper on would be the cause of him winning in a competition, and I'll be danged if he didn't win the very next day at Myrtle Beach... Out of a class of 18 cars.

He's going to Nopi Nat's in Atlanta this weekend, about 60 cars there he said, we'll see how he does.

Them Toyota bolts must be really good...
