The return vent fuel line on my 93 Toy p/u is weeping right at one of the retainer clamps, I'm sure after 28 years of rubbing in the same spot + rust its got a pinhole.
It's not under pressure and only weeps a little while sitting. I know what's going to happen when I try to repair it properly... every movement of the line will cause a new leak and the whole line will need replacing (thats what happened last summer with the main supply line).
I need a temp fix just so it doesn't smell awful in the garage while fixing the brakes.

Is there any kind of goop - probably spray on...? - that would coat it and temporarily seal it up until I can fix it properly? Normally I'd just use a shot of spray on bedline or something but most things won't cure right with the gas touching it....

Thanks.
Will that cure while in direct contact with gas?

Like in the flex seal commercials... :D

(and no flex seal doesn't work w/ gas... I've tried before...)

Had a car come in the shop last week with a hole in the gas tank from hitting something in the road. Fire department used a wax ring for a toilet to plug the hole. Apparently they keep a bunch of them on the trucks for that.

Actually yea we do. We keep a couple on all the trucks. Work well to seal up, well anything nearly.

We had a tractor get side swiped yesterday and crushed his fuel tank. And that’s what they used to stop the fuel leak. Crazy.
