So I've been selling parts again to supplement our income since my wife is on long term disability and only making 60% of her salary. I've been making good money using FB Marketplace and it's been pretty much keeping us even.

Last night some fuckhead decided he was going to create a fake Instagram account, link it to my FB account and then get my FB account suspended, taking along with it all my listings and my messages and everything.

I had several thousand dollars in parts being picked up this weekend and now can't contact those people. Along with losing 20 years of stuff and my 4.9 star seller rating with like 100 reviews.

FB was no help but luckily Instagram is trying to help. Still, I have thousands of dollars in sales that are now probably gone and thousands of dollars in cars sitting here that I can't easily sell parts off of. Just because some assface thought it would be funny to fuck with my account.

That's happening to so many people and it sucks bad. Sorry to hear that happened, especially during these times.

There's a glitch that allows it to happen, which is unbelievable that no one has fixed this. And the fact that they are saying that they can't easily reactivate it is unbeliebable

I had the same thing happen to a friend of mine. Started posting scams and everything

so you can cloak yourself in the veil of legitimacy....we used to want to look someone in the eye, then we wanted to hear a voice on the phone, now all we need is a redirection to a legitimate site and we feel better about sending a non-refundable digital payment to someone we do not know.

These damn scammers are getting more and more clever....I have had a few LONG text conversations with scammers before, had me fooled until I googled the photos from the ad and found they originated on a different site on the other side of the country...then comes the hard push for payment or a deposit.

@Blaze Sorry to hear you got screwed like this, not surprised to see that Meta isn't quick to respond, they give zero damns about people on their platform....they can't continue to grow and give a damn at the same time.

Here's the shitty thing. There was no scam. I tracked it to someone in Rolesville. I think someone did it just to be a dick. I had this lifted Camry for sale for $2k, which was definitely too high, but I was getting all kinds of hilariously angry messages about how I was crazy and only trying to drive traffic to my YouTube channel (I kinda was) so I'm wondering if some assface did that.
