My wife's family has a lakehouse on Hyco Lake northwest of Roxboro, near the NC/VA line, and there is significant flooding occuring up there. The lake is typically around 409-410ft above sea level, and peaked at 416.5ft earlier today. My wife and kids are up there this week for "Camp Hyco" as she calls it, and fortunately they are fine, but she has been sending me pictures of things and its pretty impressive.
Here's a "normal" lake level with their dock in the background:
And here's the same spot as of about 9am today:
Guess that's what an extra 6ft of water over the entire lake in about 12hrs will do.
