No pics cuz they aint here yet...but last week I flew to Louisiana on a day trip. Flew in that morning, flew back that afternoon. No checked bag to bring booze back. So a friend down there packaged and is mailing them. Hope to have this week.First Ron with his old Fitz, now this bullshit. You can all KMA.

Today was a good day. Played a 9-hole scramble and won $30. Then I rolled to a liquor store nearby for this dude.
Talk to Brian who runs the bar there. He’s a huge bourbon nut and good buddy of mine. Keeps pour prices reasonable too.Not a bad selection at Natty Greenes.

That’s our barrel pick we did at broad branch.

So… I happen to be in Frankfort KY.
Did the BT guided tour which was cool, mostly covering their history, process (like barrels rolling all over the place on metal rails - old school for sure but still cool as hell), and we got to see Blantons Gold being bottled, tasting to include Elmer T. Lee (yum but unobtainium), the bottles available in the store afterwards were pretty limited. More BT in one place than I’ve ever seen before and don’t expect I’ll see again! Eagle Rare 10 yr, a couple other lesser ones.
The stuff available even in grocery stores like Kroger is pretty wild. Ocean Breeze liquor store had wild variety. Only second time I’ve seen Blantons on a shelf. Grabbed a 750ml for $99. John Bowman for $42. EH Taylor of all varieties and prices upwards of $300. Even varieties of Benchmark I didn’t know existed.
What would you guys recommend I keep an eye out for? I’m going to do the Four Roses tour and figure out those 10 recipes…! Glens Creek and Castle and Key are just around the corner. J. Mattingly is across from BT. But in terms of store bought what is reasonable?
TIA!
