My 5th grade science project My son’s 5th grade science project is to see what type of wood is hardest to split. Obviously in order to do that, we had to add a gauge to my splitter. I’m rather pleased with how well it turned out. And $50 worth of in stock parts from the local Hydraulic Supply. Not too bad.

Yep, twerks! (Glad I went with the 4000psi gauge instead of 3000)

We expect a spreadsheet. Diameters, knots, moisture content, tree age, where said round came from on the tree (main trunk, big limb, etc), overall health of the tree before felling, location of the donor trees (middle of forest vs woodline), etc

Make us proud @jeepinmatt

I'm a Special Event Station for the The Sasquatch Awareness Week starting the 15th .....

The fact that they are in Lee co and not Chatham supports the fact that they cant swim... Unfortunately the same goes with skunks, we got them everywhere in Chatham and Lee co folks dont even know what they smell like!

And a good size sample for each, enough to properly charactarize population variability and calculate descriptive statistics.
Probably need to do a power calculation to determine the appropriate sample size.

Yeah, I'm gonna grab 2 pieces of each species and let him pull the lever while I watch the gauge, put those numbers in an excel file, and call it day. ;)
