I live in a pretty typical suburban neighborhood on a cul de sac. Used to be that Amazon delivery was pretty consistent folks who we'd get to recognizing one another but lately its random. 97% of the time they put packages on the front porch that is the obvious only way in from teh front of the house, we have a row of shrubs that occlude view of the pad from the road so its clearly private etc. 2% of the time they drop things in front of the attached garage door. Usually when its really big stuff.

Then there's times like today. Weather is nice so the garage door is open, I've been cleaning out the garage, stuff is everywhere in there in weird stacks, there's a Bug in it missing the engine etc. Knew it was coming, I happened to be inside the house when guy came buy. Heard the dog bark, figured that was the guy, didn't think anything of it.
Later I remembered "Oh yeah my thing came... where is it?" Not on the porch, not in the drive or the walk.... I check my email to find this w/ the "Delivered" confirmation

Duder literally walked INSIDE my garage, several feet, past the car, found a random pile of stuff and decided THIS is where to leave it? Like WTF are you thinking man?
1 - Its only luck and the fact you sent me a picture that I ever found this and
2 - WTF you doing walking INSIDE my garage to leave a package? The porch is 20 feet away and an equal walk from your truck.

If I'd stepped back into the garage to find dude there it would have been uncomfortable for them real quick.

I haven't had too much of a issue with placement. A couple of times they did drop a package off at my neighbor's house and took a picture of where it was.

My issue was when I made the mistake of letting them do the garage delivery. The would place it smack dab on the floor where I need to park. With. Out. Fail. I liked the idea of potentially avoiding porch pirates. But it's a pain in my ass to be on the lookout for a package that could be crushed whenever I get home.

Many times when my garage is open, they will walk in between my wife's sequoia and my jeep to put it at the stairs at the entry door. I don't get it.

At the house in Florida, I had a new garage door opener installed and it was one of those that connected to your WiFi and your phone, anywhere in the world. I could be in Korea and open the door for my kid who forgot her key.

Anywhoooo, Amazon offers a service that you can link your garage door to orders and they can put your package in the garage for you.

I tried it one time and the asshat put the package on the ground behind the car…INLINE WITH THE TIRES! WTF!!!???
