My 2002 2500HD had a bad inner hub seal. Destroyed. The bearings are all good and the spindle isn't scored or anything. I inspected the bearings, installed the new seal and put it all back together. The information I found online said 35# which sounds a little heavy for taper bearings, but I did it anyway and the hub spins really tight. Is it just the seal needs to get a little lubricated better or is that really too tight at 35#? This is the last thing I need to finish to get my truck done but I don't want to mess it up and have to redo it.

Make sure the bearings have fluid on them so they are not dry.

Thanks, I swear I looked all over and didn't see that thread. I appreciate it.

The AAM hub seals are freaking sweet. Two piece seals wont wear a groove in the spindle surface :D
