The kids and wife want a sxs for Christmas. Not gonna lie, I kinda do too 🤣.

Soo many options and price ranges. I think we would be best suited for a utility type. All our usage would be just riding around the farm and generally puttering around. I dont see us going to WV trail riding anytime soon. I would like 4 seats, but they are so dang long. Id like one I could take hunting and 4 seaters would be frame hung 100ft down my duck hunting trail. We already have a fourwheeler that the boys would rather drive themselves than ride with mom and dad in the back of a sxs. Been looking g at the polaris 570s. But just wonder if its enough power to comfortably haul two adults. Im looking in the 10-12k range. Used is fine for me. I won't put 100hrs a year on it. A golf cart would be fine for 90% of our usage, but i know my kids will never charge one an would run out of battery as far from home as possible on the regular.

Gas golf carts are a thing too.... I want to say the 570 has similar power to the 800, if that helps any?
Im close on a gas golf cart. Only holdup is my hunting trails and lack of 4x4. I was reading that as well about the 570 vs 800 so thats good. My neighbor has an older 500 4 seater and its not a complete slug, but you definitely can tell it's hauling 4 adults.

You can get a Pioneer 700 new for $12k.
Drive one and a Polaris 800 back to back and you'll buy a Honda.

Its just like every other Honda ATV - it doesnt have a few of the bells and whistles of the others but its a damn tank or reliability.

You cannot go wrong with a Kawasaki, they invented the first SXS (Mule) and have been nothing but reliable ever since.

Can buy a brand new Ranger 570 full size for less than 10k OTD now. 570 has plenty of power for what youre describing.
I saw a dude in Benson had a rzr for sale but decided not to call him since I cant even get him to come hydro test some hoses for me 🤣

CVT maintenance is literally taking the belt cover off and blowing it out every few hundred miles.
Well on my KRX it is anyway, on a Poolaris you might as well change the belt because it'll probably need one soon enough.

I have a 570 4 seater and it's fast as hell. We also took it all over ure. I have a 23 mule fxt pro 4 seater with a blown up engine so I'm not sure on the reliability part. I would stick with a Honda pioneer or a ranger. The nice thing about the Polaris is it's the jeep Wrangler of the sxs world, getting stuff for it's no problem

Suzuki Samurai ..... cheaper, smaller, more practical.

Asking vs sale price are 2 different things. Most are upside down in them and trying to abort mission
This. Saw an article the other day that the average OTD sxs was like $46k. $25k on marketplace probably isn't bad.

They ask 25k because that’s what they still owe on it. They also generally cant afford the payment so losing a few thousand to get out of 4 more years of payment is worth it to a lot of those guys that bought a dream

I really like the Honda Pioneers. I test drove one and it seemed solid. You can get the base model and then add the fox shocks and your own flavor of wheels and tires….still come out cheaper than the ā€œtrail editionā€
If I wouldn’t have traded a jeep for my Rzr then I would’ve ended up buying a new Pioneer.

I’m used to hearing about the constantly needing changed Polaris belts
My Turbo RZR 4 Seater is on 35's, bone stock clutching and the factory belt was still fine at 3900 miles of WV trail riding when I changed it as a preventative measure. 99% of the people having belt "problems" dont know when to use low range.
