Changing the way we eat and drink...

Don't recall if I’ve mentioned it anywhere on the board, but there’s a free app with no ads or anything called Yuka. It helps sort out the shit food. Scan the bar code and it will tell you what’s good or bad and why, then suggest better options. You have to pay attention to the “why”.

We need a quick nc4x4 goto receipes to help all of us with ideas for dinners that are both easy and healthy. Anyone want to start?

I have been trying to cut out most all processed crap. dyes, enriched flour, corn syrup etc.

Yesterday we did instant ramen in a bowl with added shredded chiken.
On the side I saute'd some diced bok choy and mushrooms in sesame oil with a dash of soy sauce.

Was ready in 10mn and tasted great.

My go-to meal when I come back from the gym :

Cut an onion and toss it in a medium hot pan until it's halfway through caramelized. Use avocado oil.
Julienne some peppers (whatever color you want) and toss them in the pan.
Cover, toss every 2mn or so until cooked.

In parallel you can fly cut a chicken breast, rub it with some chilly pepper, paprika, curry, oregano, red pepper, salt, pepper and/or any seasoning of your choice. Or nothing if you're boring.
In a medium hot pan with some avocado oil, sautee the chicken.
While the chicken is cooking, dice some fresh tomatoes. big dices, like 1" square or so.
When the chicken is done, remove, turn heat to low and add the tomatoes.
Make sure to dump all the juice in the pan, you want to use it to half ass deglaze it and using a wooden spatula you want to scrape the chicken bits that are left stuck to the pan. Adds flavor and makes cleaning easier.

In parallel cook some rice. Basmati, Jasmine, white, in the microwave, rice cooker or pot, I don't care. Just half ass time it correctly to have everything done at the same time.

When everything is cooked, combine it in a plate, eat as much as you can.
It looks like shit, but tastes great and is good for you.

Things that will help you eat healthier :
If it has a sauce that you didn't make from scratch, it's not good for you.
If the whole meal is microwaved, it's not good.
If you don't pull a cutting board at any point in the meal preparation, it's probably not good...

Sounds like a simplified bibimbap... Or Bebop, for short...

Grilled some marinated flank steak and we made some tacos on Friday night.
Used the leftovers with rice, beans and corn at lunch today for a bowl style meal.
