Towing with 37's

Been running 35's for awhile with Thurens 3" springs up front and 2" spacers in the rear. Regeared to 4.10's this year and all is fine.

Running stock wheels and the 35's barely run on the trailing arms. Probably get wheels next time I get tires with more offset. Considering going to 37's.

Seems E load tire availability in this size favors the 20" wheels. I understand more wheel means less sidewall deflection. My stock 18's do fine with the 35's. Anyone else towing with 37's and have a preference? Or is it negligible?

Towing means an 18k pound boat from NC to Fl and a 10 ton goose with two rigs from NC to VA and a variety of other large things that fit in said goose.

I run 37's on 20's on my 07. No complaints towing until I started towing my excavator on my kaufman tilt and felt like I was getting tossed around everywhere. Bought a dually and retired the srw from equipment towing. Prior to that I had pulled my equipment with my 2500 on a 10 ton tandem dual pintle trailer several times and didn't have a bad experience, so I think the tandem dual trailer helped a lot with the stability.

37s on 20s. No issues, no regrets

Any tire clearance issues? Looks like stock Laramie wheels? I'm told 37's and stock wheels will rub the arms

12.50s rub at full lock but not bad. I put a 1/4 in spacer on and it helped, but I went down to 11.50s and took the spacer out so the lug nuts would have better thread engagement. I have a set of BDS radius arms to put on which will allow me to go back to the 12.50s. I like the stock wheels and don't want to switch.

Plenty of 17s that are e load but slightly bigger wheel may be better for towing. The trick on these trucks is less but still positive offset. +20 to +30 is the sweet spot

Literally same. Had that creep up the mtn regear my 2012 2500 to 4.56, have airbags on that truck and 37s on 17s like the Lord intended . Just 2" thuren springs and control arms and It just doesn't tow well anymore, the braking isn't great and towing up a steep hill you can tell it hates life.
Not to mention there isn't a 37 on the market you're going to get to balance right at all speeds, they just aren't round.
They do look good though and do well off-road.

4.10's and 35's is a pretty good sweet spot for the 6.7 trucks. Smaller loads like a single rig or skid steer on a non tandem trailer pulls like it isn't back there and a goose setup maintains speed up every hill from the coast to WV.

That's what I'm running now. Slight contact with the arms with 35x12.5r18's. Thinking about changing wheels with more offset and going to 37's while I was at it. May just throw another set of 35's on and keep running

Too much offset with the 37s can rub the rear of the fender/inner fender. There's a sweet spot you have to find (that's what she said) to get it where it doesn't rub either.
