np231 input shaft tech

I have an 05-06ish nvg231 with a SYE already installed, but I need it to be 21-spline to throw it behind an AX5. I have a spare 21-spline case that should have the correct input shaft for the transmissions output, will it swap into the newer nvg231 case?

Or, should I be trying to swap the SYE and possibly the chain and/or planetary into the 21-spline case?

There are pre 94 and 95+ changes. You can swap any input from one of the same year range, but not cross that divide. Different helical angle started in 95.

That’s cutting it close… the 21-spline donor is either a 94 or 95, I can’t remember. Lol

Front case halve input and planetaries need to be same gen, everything else is swappable

Best donor is a liberty, all the updates typically be bee saw more than stock tires and rarely 4wd, newer, the shift selector assembly from the recipient vehicle needs to be used in this case
