That's called "engineers justifying their existence" AND Mercedes dealer has to have a reason to charge $1400 for a simple PM.

I did have to get an oil change down here at a quick lube. They pulled the under hood cabin filter and tried to sell me one, NEVER pulled the intake filter. . Now I know why.

The car wash will sue the guys insurance for lost profits while they’re down as well as repair of their machine, the only one that loses is the truculent owner that will get an increased rate

I doubt it. Car wash should have had attendant checking bed. Guy 'didn't know' it would cause a problem. Have to prove he did to establish liability. Lawyers will win.

What @Ron said. Both sides are negligent in this case. Loader should have checked the bed and if the site had truck bed retract sonar and it wasn’t working, they will just get in a pissing match.
