Enlarging faucet hole in quartz countertops

Oh yeah, for sure. Really wasn't a big deal at all. There's 3 other holes there that I may need to widen eventually depending on what else I want to use.

Only reason I did the faucet swap in the first place was to gain a hole by getting one that combines the spray head into the faucet. Wanted to install an under sink filtration system.

Considering an on demand hot water tap now, but that will require running electrical to the underside of the sink. Not hard, but I'll need to tap into the existing sub panel and I'm not sure I even have blanks available in there. I'd like to do it as a dedicated circuit (or two) so I can put a garbage disposal in as well.

Most instahots require a dedicated 40A (or larger) - itll need to be 2 circuits if you go that route.

If you have access, HW recirc might be easier. That reminds me, I've been meaning to do that for years. It would cost about $100 in PEX and be priceless in the winter.

Which brings up a good point -- it would not be just a $2500 countertop replacement if it broke. Wife would turn it into a $25,000 kitchen remodel. Calling the man is just 1% of the risk you are taking, not 10%.

I really wish we had HW recirc in the kitchen and MB....damn slab house. We knew it was temp when we bought, and there are a lot of things I love about it - but that is high on the list of things I hate...that and the HOA

Never buy a house on a slab or in an HOA.

Agreed. But you knew my situation. Time wasn’t my friend

Side note never buy a 6k sqft house when you are empty nesters . There rooms in pretty sure I’ve never been in.
 
I must be the only one who doesn't like hw recirc. I had it put in when I built my house but turned it off after 6 Mos, burned too much gas. My hw heater has a built in pump but from what I understand navien loops arent time programmable so it ran all the time. My plumber didnt insulate the hw lines so that obviously didnt help. I am cheap and felt like I was chewing through the gas. My kids whine about having to run the water for like 45sec to get their shower hot. I dont care, my shower and the kitchen are super close to the hw heater so it doesnt bother me or my wife at all 🤣

I wouldnt buy a 6k sqft house, much less on a slab, with your money. The gas bill from the recirc hurt my feelings too bad, so its established that im cheap. I couldn't imagine the light bill from cooling that rascal with all the hvac in the hot af attic.
