I tow a trailer almost every day of the year just about. And about twice a year my trailer gets hit. Normally it gets hit while I'm at a gas station or in a parking lot somewhere. Once I had a woman can opener the entire side of her car on the end of my trailer while I was pumping gas. She rolled her window down and asked me what she hit like the 30 foot trailer wasn't plainly visible.

Yesterday I was making a left hand turn into a road, and the guy behind me slammed into the trailer while I was turning. Fortunately for him I was pulling my very low tilt trailer instead of the taller one, and rather than ripping the suspension off of his truck he simply ripped the sidewall off his tire, the trailer tilted and he went over the top of it.

But really how hard is it to see a trailer?

I'm not answering because I pull a trailer every day and its been a few years since I've been hit. lol

texting

and once you realize 75% of the population does not care or think about the next minute of their lives. all of it will begin to be clear

i used to agree with this statement....until i started looking at new cars with their screens to control heat, ac, heated and cooled seats, radio station and volume, etc. that is as big a distraction as texting and driving

the perfect ac control...muscle memory and no distractions

oh I wasn't just talking about when driving. I mean from the moment they get up to the moment the go to bed

almost zero forward thinking, about anything

Had a guy drive up onto my tow dolly stopped at a red light. He just backed down off of it and I got out to check on everything and he said he wasn't paying attention. I told him he was setting a great example for his son sitting in the passenger seat and got back in my truck and left.
Years ago I had a guy drive up on my tow dolly at a red light in a big Ford F-350 Dually pulling a 30 ft enclosed trailer. I got out and told him to give me the keys it's on my trailer it's mine now. He started dying laughing. Then he said he saw the tow dolly his phone ring and he forgot the tow dolly was there.

I had a woman run up on a little 3-ft trailer that I was Towing and swore up and down she wasn't on it, and kept telling me to go. The person behind her got out and told her she was on my trailer and she still acted like it was my fault.
