My mom, the home-ec teacher, was either laughing or crying in heaven today. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
I decided to make myself a birthday cake like she used to. I failed. Cake layers were beautiful, until I made icing and put it all together. It looked fantastic, for a few minutes.
Then the top half split into thirds, and slid onto the counter in pieces. The second layer couldn't even stay in place.
I ended up just picking up the remnants of the top third with bare hands and gooping it all onto a second plate.
When Renee came home, she said I am no longer allowed to do anything without adult supervision.
What do yall think my home-ec grade would be?

Shes just got a big ol chaw of Redman in.
I told the wife that deer had a big ol dip in and we could call her swole jaw, then she said, “nah, we will call her ball face”Shes just got a big ol chaw of Redman in.

I stand corrected. They're actually "dranks". I found this sign in my barn from when my son Stephen decided that to make some money he would sell us "dranks" from our own refrigerator, that we had already paid forSame.

Me and my wife went antiquing Saturday. I picked up this cool fire extinguisher. It was sold by Sears and Roebuck back in the 50's for kitchen fires. It is still intact.

It’s beautiful this time of year. This area reminds me a lot of the Asheville area, just with more gorges and more lakes. More or less the same demographic of people as Asheville too, lots of eccentric people.Had to confirm this morning for sure because I knew she was in that area, but my coworker lives a couple blocks from that trail.
This is JoCo for sure. We ALWAYS called “soda” a “drink”.I grew up with sodas being "a drink". Still "drinks" around here. My kids ask if they can have a drink and we automatically know it means a soda

Just tell her to calm down and make you a sandwich.
Looks awesome. Reminds me of the new river gorge in west Virginia. There's a horseshoe overlook place up there that looks just like the 3rd pictureHiked 14 miles up and down the gorge at Letchworth State Park yesterday. Weather wasn’t great, but the rain had the falls roaring.

Johnston County, man....I stand corrected. They're actually "dranks". I found this sign in my barn from when my son Stephen decided that to make some money he would sell us "dranks" from our own refrigerator, that we had already paid for
