If you can beleive this: It seems that some of my customers have taken to shopping the parking lot instead of the store. We have had numerous small parts like shackes and straps stolen from our personal rigs that we keep out front. The audacity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

Anyhow , if anybody hears of someone bragging about their "FREE" parts, give me a call. I will make it worth your while in the form of a gift card or store credit. if your info turns out to be accurate I will pay $100 reward for any info.

It's worth a c-note to me so i can deliver a beating to the stupid cleptomaniac.

either way, i know what those shackles looked like, so im gonna bring a similar one and if you cant prove its not yours, you owe me a beating for stealing it and $100 store credit for finding it

We had a friend that owned a garage in Charlotte that had a problem with "after-hours" visitors. He got a pit-bull named Hercules. It worked for a little while, but then someone stole the pit-bull!!! That was crazy!

im curious to see where this goes... I noticed after bringing to trooper home it no longer had the shackle receiver in back of it.

Man that sucks dude, especially since it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE STORE!
Some people are just assinine and figure a five finger discount is worth time in a correctional facility. If they ever get caught that is.
But it is kinda wierd on the things people will steal now-a-days, I mean youd figure something more valuable than towstraps and shackles would be higher on their priority list.
Hope someone gives you some leads, but dont risk gettin hurt, send them to me.:handed:

Security cameras are so cheap anymore, you should have at least two out front anyway. Find out for yourself who it is, then beat their ass.

You know that craziness is gonna happen Greg...maybe you need a 'chirp..chirp' alarm on herbie, like Smokey had on his Pinto!

On a serious note....I like the self portrait for your avatar!

Get a good camera. Buddy had his Big ass tool box stolen out of his Service truck bed. The office he was at had cameras and captured everything. But the image was so low res that I couldn't clean up the image enough to tell what vehicle FOR CERTAIN it was much less make out the plate.

This crap you see in the movies of "bringing the security camera image into focus"...... BS

Maybe it was that guy who got his panties all in a wad because you ran out of straps at the grand opening?

Nope, its not movie BS, thats BS cameras or shitty installations.

I have read plates all the way across parking lots and even read a tatoo off a guys neck at over 70 yards.

Of course those werent with a $100 camera system hung up by a shop owner.

A GOOD 2 camera, 1 monitor, 1 DVR system Professionally installed in an interior drop ceiling application should be >$1k.

If you got the $99 special thats why you cant make out the plates

It depends on how many times you reuse the media (tapes) as well..

ok, busted on my wording... I meaning to say, get a good camera, cause a crappy image can't be magically enhanced from a blurry pixelated image.

So yes the stuff in the movies where they have a shitty image and they "enhance" the image to read the name on a breifcase is most certainly BS. Enhancing and enlarging images is one thing that I do day in and day out. ;)

point being, make sure the image is good so you can read a plate at 70 yards.

I try to keep the shackles in the glove box or console.. and I bolted the warn shackle reciever to the jeep with grade 8 bolt and lock nut... so he will at least have to come prepared.

Well, that is in thought... my jeep only leaves the garage right before a wheeling trip (I just fixed it) ... then I brake it and put it back in.
