Brown Mtn on New Years Day

i'm tempted... but debating staying hoem to work on my bumper instead... can't decide... had a lot of fun last year...
 
Man, this is the first year I haven't lead a group since '04/'05.
I'm getting a little teary eyed.

It is an easy ride, just a little something to say you have already wheeled this (08) year.
You guys have fun, I am going to Calallantee this weekend, so I will be home licking my wounds on the 1st.

that dont mean ya cant drag it on over for an easy days ride
 
I may go but just would rather fallow someone from the triad area if anyone is going from the area

4Runner has started a random stumbling thing, just acts like it's having air/gas prolems for 2 seconds then clears up. I should probably look into that before driving 100 miles.

On the other hand, I just found out our 15 y/o neice is coming down for the day to hang out w/ my wife/son. I'd rather not be at home...

What time & where to meet?
 
I live in thomasville so I would be going through Winston Salem to get no 40 so anywhere from Winston to Brown Mtn.
 
where is the trailhead? & X2 on purchasing the daypass
 
Been on the past few new years runs. i am going to try to go this year, just got back from callalantee this weekend, so could be stretching it, but i will be thereabout 9:30 as well. if i go, i can get directions from UglyJeepoffroad and people can follow me from hickory if need be.
 
I am thinking hard about going. I went the first two years, but missed last year. It is a great trail for stock 4x4s. If I do go I will meet at the trail head at 9:30. I do not want to be on the tail after dark.
