I'm too lazy to try to search people in my area out ! Hickory friends ?

Let's do this right.

These are the only legal wheeling places around, with the exception of some private places that you can only go to with an invite.
that said, let's keep any details or past or present riding of any of the places mentioned to not legal. It will get some yahoo an idea to go get muddy or what ever even it is mentioned it is not legal. Giving the group as a whole, another black eye.

I am up for a meet and greet. I am not too far from Hickory and already know a lot of the Hickory area guys. Hope it can be planned for a weekend I don't work, or a weekend that I am not headed out to do real world wheeling. The Farm event, well that is on a weekend I have to work, the last Open invite at DPG, I had to work. I work every other weekend, and this coming weekend 25th, I work.

Well I myself am game for Jo Bell's ... that's a rather large parking area. We could gather in numbers, and if your family owns it, there's one less worry about anything being said. If everyone else concurs ... then I say all we need is a date and time that everyone ( or most everyone anyways .. ) can make.

Personally ... the thought of 750 raw acres excites me.

Yea I'll have to agree with the last post. I'll try not to mention anything about illegal spots. Forgive me ... as I am a newb. :)

There are quite a few people int he area. Maybe we can set up a M and G. I know a good portion of the people on here from this area will be at the Farm in June.

Hey guys ... I'm finally able to live up to my name ! The truck is in fact muddy now. And I managed a new dent in the tailgate ! RAWR ! hahaha. I've got the fever ... and I found a place we're allowed ( provided we keep hold our own trash etc. ). It's near Springs Rd. in Hickory if anyone is interested.

I should have pictures of the aftermath as soon as I get out and buy some batteries for this damn camera. I swear it cost almost as much to run a camera for a month as it does a weeks worth of gas !

Be easy. I'm all kinds of excited. haha.

It isn't the power lines on county home road is it? Have you spoke to the owner? Do you do in house tattooing? I need some more work?

Hmmm where's this place at on springs road? Might have to check it out sometime. The Trooper hasn't see a trail in quite awhile

where is this spot .. ive been wheelin for years now and i know preety much all the places legal and illegal in this area .. was it near the lake off sulphur springs

also i think a kid i went to high school use to own that bronco

Aw CRAP ! I sat here and posted a large reply ... and the site logged me out or something.

Anyways ... this was previously owned by a guy named Glynn ... before him ... I'm sure it was a Wildlife truck ... * shrug * ... I know it did really well today.

Sulphur Springs Rd. near the lake ... yes.

Tattoo at home ... no. I'm a piercer. Not a tattoo artist.

We ARE allowed to wheel here ... as I said though ... no trash !!! ( This has been a problem in the past )

Here are the pictures from earlier ! ( Wish I'd thought to buy batteries for the camera BEFORE I left to trail it ... so I don't have any of the trail it self. ) It's a fairly easy trail. There are a couple of really narrow spots though for you big guys ! I bent my mirrors in a couple of times.

NEW DENT !

County Home Road power lines ? Doesn't that run all the way over to Herman Sipe Rd area ? Either way man . .. not where I was talkin about. Love to show you guys this spot if you don't already know about it. Since it's local AND we're actually allowed here. ( ONE MORE TIME !!! As long as you don't throw out your trash !!! (( Take a bag )) Because this has been a previous problem. )

i rode there for years when i was just getting into wheeling.that area has grown up alot i havent been back there much lately. im preety sure that the power lines off county home are illegal.

I'd really like to find this place. I'm not too fond of the springs rd area but i know where sulphur springs rd is. I'm not sure where to go from there though..

Trroper ... if you'd like to hit the trail some time ... I'd be glad to show it to you. I don't think you'd want to attempt it alone anyways. ( Listen to me ... the novice ... hahaha ) It's got some tight spots and deep holes. Either way ... I can't remember the name of the Rd. you turn on to ... I just know where it is to show you. I don't live too far from it ... so if you want to meet on Springs Rd. somewhere ... I could show you where it is.

Hmmm i'd maybe be able to meet up one day this weekend. Just let me know man

Sounds ok to me .... I'll message you my number. We'll work something out.

And what's up with the meet and greet ??? Should we start a new thread for that ?

We can Meet and Greet and finish swapping in the custom Alcan springs, power steering setup, and locker in the front of mine at my house.

hahaha ... I wish the garage wasn't so tied up here at the house. I'd allow most of you guys to come here to work on your stuff.

6 car 3 bay garage .... all the air you could ever need .... a lift ... the whole 9 !

Buuuuuut .... it's not all my stuff to loan. haha

Just so you know ... I'm retarded. :)

I went back out to that trail today JUST to take pictures for you guys that don't know about it. I'll be damned if I didn't get there and realize I left my camera at home ! Ah ... just as well though. I still went through and got a lil more mud on me.

haha get us some pictures when you can i wanna see the trail. how'd the bronco do? i'm sure it's more capable than my Trooper but it's surprised me plenty of times :driver:

Both times I went out on it ... no problems. There are several spots there that I'm sure a stock or close to stock vehicle COULDN'T make it ... but then again ... what do I really know ? lol

I'll try to remember the camera next time around.

Nooooooo man ... not behind Walmart ... I know where you mean there ... but hell they set up a bunch of boulder(ish) rocks to keep people out. ( But uh ... if you were a real wheeler ... I don't suppose those would matter. lol ) The spot behind Roberts Mazda that I mean is just a deep ass hole !! If I had to guess I'd say it's about 150 - 200 foot deep ? Steep as hell !!! If you ever get up that way ... turn onto that road that takes you up to the Exxon and as soon as you turn on to it ... look off to the right. You'll see what I mean.

Why don't yall just see if yall can get through the sink hole where buffalo's used to be, and then go up to Xtreame machines and park on the gravel pile! WOO-HOO!!:shaking:

Thats the kind of thing that gives us "real" wheelers a bad name.

Why dont you actually read the thread instead of bashing.

Never said we wheeled there (besides the fact that I did at one time because I had no idea that this was looked down upon by the 4wheeling community). We stay away from places that are illegal, and I try to tell others to do the same now that I know it hurts us.

Not really sure why your saying "real" wheelers in those quotes. I wheel as much as I can with what I have, and unlike some people here, I dont have cash to throw at my rig all the time.

I doubt that his are but the fact you have been her for a week or so, know nothing about a 4x4 yet are trying to insult people for instructing you on the legality of wheeling in the HKY area is annoying.
4-5 years ago we had shitton of places to ride around here and people demostrating the same attitude are the reasons they are closed down. How about just listening and learning a bit more?
If you need any spare parts for that Bronc let me know, I have a whole front end CHEAP.

I'm not bashing and I never said you or any one did those things. The "real" wheelers I was refering to was the guys that are tring to combat the green boys and keep our trails open. When someone gets into those places just to get muddy so they can ride up and down 70 we get generalized to be red necks that just tear every thing up. It only builds a case aganst us that actually care. Thank you.
Awwww... ya panties in a bunch ?
No my panties are just fine!:flipoff2:
