I'm with you guys.
75% of the "magic" of the original is the presenters, their interaction, and the fact that they are true car buffs.

One of the fantastic things about the original is their brutal honesty about vehicles. I can't see NBC backing that kind of banter for fear of losing ad revenue, lawsuits, yada yada.
