I skied Hunter MT. in New York a few years back...it was definately differant with longer runs, more runs, faster lifts, but there were a million people there. And with 3 bars, one at top, one in middle and one at the base. Lets just say that there were plenty of ski patrol and medics seen working throught the weekend. Even saw a medi-copter take away a girl that folks said was wasted and hit a double black by accident. Hunters blacks would be double blacks in N.C. I thought i was a decent skier, till i hit a double blk. at Hunter. I slid on my tail at least half way down after a rut cought me off guard. We are talking straight down with moguls, trees, and ice. Definately differant from what I was used too around her in n.c. Worth a trip..and the chicks and their accents were fun too!
Picture Tommy Gun (or what ever it's called))at sugar, only 10 times longer, 2 times steeper and 100 times bumpier and tree lined. Once i fell, didnt/couldnt stop sliding for what seemed like 5 mins.
