Inspection Sticker Question

Saftey only also applies to vehicles over 8500 pounds? (Could be off on the weight but it is close). I know my 05 GMC 2500 HD (gasser) was only safety/no emmisions. Just wrench in the system for everyone.
Not vehicles that weigh over 8500lbs but vehicles with a GVWR over 8500lbs. GVWR is based off the chassis and suspension not so much what drivetrain. Look on the sticker inside your driver side door to find your actual GVWR. On a 2500HD it should be between 8600 and 9200lbs depending on the year and options.

Definition: Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
It’s how much weight a vehicle is designed to carry. The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, cargo and any additional accessories. The GVWR is a safety standard used to prevent overloading.
