Aight guys I have gotten tons of people asking about prerunning the new course so we have decided to Open the 4x4cross Track to Prerunning April the 11th. We are also going to Open the Rock Pile, Mud Track, and Flat Track (Dirt Dragstrip) that day as well for anyone who wants to mess around while watching the racers prerun.

The track is almost done now, and lemme tell ya its gonna be pretty sick. Rode it today and I'm excited, kinda thinkin about entering the 1 Ton Z71 in B class :driver:

And the best part is that you can stand where the bleachers will be and have a perfect view of the 4x4cross track, Rock pile, Mud Track, Flat Track, ATV Bog, and Vendor alley without even moving. If you haven't been by since last years 4x4cross you need to check it out we have the place totally redone, have bleachers, and announcing booth, stadium lighting, the pond is gone in its place are the mud track, Flat Track, and the Demo Derby/pitt area, the Mud track even has metal guard rails now

We will have the track completely flagged off and finished for the prerun weekend as it will be come race weekend. We'll even time you if you want, and as long as we have time we will allow multiple passes.

The track will not be open at any other time for prerunning now until the race, so If you want to prerun put this day on your calendar.

We are only going to allow Racers that are preregistered to prerun that day, or we will accept registration fees that day if you want to just show up on the 11th, pay to enter the May 4x4cross race and prerun.

Anyone else is more than welcome to come hang out and watch the racers prerun, and we will also allow ya'll to climb around on the Rock Pile and Hit the mud track if you want.

Gates Open at 10am - Prerunning starts at Noon

-It'll be $10 per rig at the gate to ride the rocks/mud/watch the prerun
-Preregistered Racers get in free and can prerun
-Or you can pay/sign up for the Race in May at the gate on the 11th and prerun

I might be up that way with some people riding the trails at URE. How much is it just to come and spectate the people prerunning?

I assume its free to prerun if you have already paid to enter the race

Any chance spotters/riders are also getting in free for prerun w/ their racers?

well its $10 per vehicle that gets in, other than the racer him/herself

do we need to wear our helmets for the pre-run?

anyone have room for an XJ on their trailer? It's looking like I may have to rent one...

yea you need helmets, fire extinguisher, etc, to prerun

Don't forget you have to be preregistered to prerun :driver:

Alright, I did a full tune up on the XJ, got a steering box brace along with some other doodads ordered with overnight or two day shipping, got two helmets lined up and my fire extinguisher mounted. As long as I can find a trailer to rent or borrow (<-- hint hint, anyone?) I should be there Sat. morning with some entry money for Ricky.
The welded D35 w/ 33's is sketching me out a little so I'm not sure how fast I plan on pre-running, or how much of a show I will put on during the actual race for that matter. But either way I am damn excited (and a tad nervous)!

Hey a quick Q - I'm registered A-class but at the moment have a front locker. I wil ldef take it out before the race in May, but may not have time before Sat - it is OK to pre-run like that, or maybe just have to keep in in 2wd Sat :driver:

I def won't be hammering to badly at pre-run b/c I have to drive the family home to MD on Sunday lol

Don't forget the 1st 20 racers to sign up will get a free copy of the 09 DVD :driver:

Good thing I was one of the first!!!:flipoff2:

Cant make the pre-run due to swapping axles, but I was able to drive some of it last fall. Should be a blast!!!

Remember, pre-running is not pre-racing.....I learned that from the Desert racers at KOH:huggy:

You can beat pretty hard on a welded 35. I thrashed on mine without a care in the world and I wasn't afraid of any wheel spin or hop. Anyone on here that has seen me wheel my old XJ buggy can vouch for that. I broke less shafts than most people with locked 35's. I was running 33x14 boggers. I think the biggest advantage to welding the 35 vs. locking it is with welding you don't get the shock loads from the locker unlocking and then locking up. I never broke a shaft running high speeds or jumping, it was always when a rear tire was bound up. Race it like you stole it and don't look back!

I'm running A class and I drive everything like it's stolen so to win you're going to have to do me one better. :D

FWIW I'm running a TTB Ranger and it's built for air time.
