I wanted to say thanks to all the individuals who tried to change my mind in getting a trail rig. I have met a great bunch of guys and girls that do wheel. My wife got very excited about the idea of trail riding, after last night she changed here mind to..(She Read the negative BS thread about BDB)

I think we need to focus on ONE point....We do not have many places to wheel, so we need to takecare of them.

We are loosing our national forests to the developers, so lets stop bikering and get togeather to fight something real, not tire size or rig type....

Just my Opinion?
 
Point? I dunno if you noticed but things like save tellico, BRC, SFWDA. do things to try to save our spots. The negative bdb thread is bs. If we were a bunch of out of control idiot rednecks there wouldn't be silt fence and silt dams at the farm. There wouldn't be fire extinguishers at every obstacle, and there wouldn't be fence up at the exit of every obstacle.

We are trying to do our part, ARE YOU?

I have tried to stay out of this and have only had a couple words to say on this topic. but enough is enough.
yes I think its a "biggie". I think the guy needs to post up how he messed up and didnt have the story straight before he got on the internet running his mouth. yes, it turned into bad p.r. for all. and its a perfect example of theres always 2 sides to every story. sorry, I dont look at the bdb as doing anything wrong here. I look at the guy that posted the untruths and started this whole mess.

BDB do very good things for the promotion and preservation of the sport of offroading. And the very few members I have met have come across as very nice folks.
But all that can be nullified so very quickly. And that needs to be accepted.

Whether or not you guys think I am being irrational, the perceived reactions by observers to your actions (in this case on message boards.....as I was not at URE this past weekend and therefore have no basis for conclusion about what happened there and who did what.....but I tend to believe that the majority of or all of the actions in question were not BDB but other unincorporated groups) WILL have a negative impact on your reputation to at least some degree.

You can not always control what someone says about you or accuses you of.....but you can control your response to that. And that response will often dictate others' perception of your side, regardless or guilt or innocence.

But.....that's simply my observation. I pretty much expect some here to tell me to go pound sand or screw off, given other current discussions.

So you have decided not to get into the hobby of fourwheeling after reading one post on an internet site? Turn off the computer, go buy a rig and hit the trails. You are missing out.
 
What you need to do is stay home and let her go to work. Once she leaves, go to the night stand and grab your testicles and use them.
 
Jesus just stfu everyone. I got an idea. Lets see something negative on the internets.......then bring it up 50 more times.

A) Whole thing should have been dealt with in person
B) everyone should just stfu about
C) Your wife kind of sounds like a pita who didn't want to do it in the first place. I can find articles online about space aliens who throw probes into your :poop: pipe but it doesn't make it true. Sounds like she is dragging you around by the chain. Maybe you believe everything you read, are retarded, or just plain whipped. Either that or this is just another bs antagonist thread being made. I'll lean towards that

Keep it up guy's it's Wed and the BDB's issue has been beat to death,but I got faith somebody will keep it alive till at least the weekend.Normally all the bitchin and in fightin don't start til mid/late winter.:shaking:

There's assholes everywhere, get used to it. I've met great people that wheel and I've met the other kind. Unfortunately, you'll never be able to weed them all out. I think there are great groups out there that push hard to fight for what we have and try to expand it. Your wife shouldn't base her idea of our sport/hobby on one post. That's like believing the first political ad that comes on the TV.

SORRY.....It was not my intentions to make anyone mad.....BDB are a GREAT bunch of guys, atleast the ones I know....

The quote above about grabbing my testicles, when you were having fun in school or whatever, I was defending OUR country so we can have the liberty that we have..Maybe you should look at the big picture...HAVE YOU THANKED A VETERAN...FOR YOUR FREEDOM....

Take it easy. Thank you for your service but in his defense I actually wrote the same thing (roughly) but then deleted it because I think I come off as a dick more often then not. My point is that I never fully understood your first post. First you say you're wife doesn't like trail riding because she read something then you went on some tear about saving our places to ride. I can see how the two combine but I think we're all on the same page here.

If there's one person out there that says "screw it, I do what I want" I'm sure he won't be in the hobby long. Most of those guys are looking for some wild times and will find something new later that is more exciting... and will probably cost less money :rolleyes: we just need to help police ourselves so the greenies can have less ammo.

Thank you for your service. My brother is retired, and brother -in-law just came home from iraq Monday. I thank all veterns every time I see them, not just today.

What the :flipoff2: does that have to do with getting your testicles? I tell that to my best friend when he stay's home with the kids while his wife is going to school to make their life better.

Go back to your room and put on your big boy underwear.
 
If that is the reason your not getting a trail rig, then its for the best. If your wife is so put off by a thread on the internet.

There are ass holes every where, Even if you took up knitting I am sure theres a forum somewhere where someone is bitching about someone cross knitting and thats just uncalled for!

You put that many guys together and you think not one of the hundreds would be perceived as an ass, come on.
