I got about 1" of ice all over everything, no power from 9 am christmas morn until about 2 hours ago. 3 big trees and 2 powerlines came down across the road. Slept last night curled with my dog in front of a propane heater. The 2 transformers that came down on our road had everything blocked off 'til today too, which meant I wasn't able to be with the fam.

I think the fact that some XJ rear hatch glass was the only casualty of all the falling limbs (every car in the driveway had a decent sized limb on the hood but no dents thanks to the coating of ice) and just being able to drive home and take a hot shower with the lights on is the best present I've gotten in a while.

Anyone else around Boone get any ice craziness?

Got a couple CD's,DVD's, boxers, a jeep calander, tire deflator, billet shifter knob, mechanix gloves, yoga mat and DVD ,( promised my wife I would try it), and a really cool Grateful Dead Monopoly Game.




Got my wife a new I Pod, some cookware, gift cards, and best of all.......a mint condition 99 XJ and told her I will build it any way she wants ( as long as it's not nicer than my YJ).


It was a great Christmas!!!

I just got myself one of those today for a late present, actually an Ultra not the Pro.

My pops took us on a trip to nassau and momma gave $$. GF got me clothes and a flashlight.

I bought them all a lot of presents and set myself a couple months behind on my k5 fund. Oh well they were happy

Well, the kids made out like bandits this year.

The two girls each got Nintendo DS lites and 2 games each.

9yr. old: easy bake oven (been asking for 3yrs), LOADS of art stuff since she loves to draw and color, new jacket, and some other odds and ends plus the stocking.

10yr. old: Lots of kid makeup, jewelry box stuff with kid jewelry, a couple of barbie/bratz dolls that she can "customize" with hair and clothes, a new jacket, and some more odds and ends plus stocking.

4yr. old: A bunch of GI Joes, three transformers (one actually transforms into a car), the Jurassic park toys that I bought off of Jeepinmatt (he loved them), new clothes, a cowboy set (pistol, gun belt, rifle, and cowboy hat), more odds and ends plus stocking, and his favorite gift was the New Bright remote control canary yellow pickup

all in all it was about 200 a piece for the kids.

The wfie and I just got stoking stuff; candy, coffee. Her: a George strait CD and candle. Me: Southern comfort coffee, and dummies guide to the bible (gag gift) she's silly like that.

I must say the best was watching them open up all their gifts and seeing the ear to ear smiles they had when looking at everything they asked for. We were very blessed this year and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year, God Bless

Got to see my sons eyes light up when he opened his presents and didnt have much while his sister had tons....

He was even polite and made me proud when my wife teased him a bit.
"Did you have a good Christmas kids"
"Yes, I love the legos and pajamas"

Then he dumped out his stocking and found his 4 wheeler key and took off running outside!!

I got a new pocket knife, which only took me 3 days before I sliced my thumb wide open.
I let the wife and daughter keep the kitten the fire dept. rescued out of the storm drain in front of the house a couple days before Christmas. Funny thing is my wife actually asked Santa for a kitten weeks before.
I also got her an ipod touch and a digital camera. Our daughter got more stuff than I can remember.
