DATE HAS BEEN SET

Saturday July 10th at 6 PM in Kernersville at Hams.

Hams Address for GPS:

550 Pineview Drive
Kernersville, NC 27284-3663

I know Greensboro has the most votes, but because winston was a close 2nd, and kville is inbetween also had some votes, I figure cut the distance, go for Kville and hope for the best turnout possible.

K-ville Hams! Just cause I'm close. I'll start by saying the 9th or 10th, Friday or Saturday.

I would recommend trying for the following weekend (Sat. July 10th) seeing as alot of people will have time off from work they will probably be trying to get out of town for the 4th of July. But then again if you're like me and can't afford to travel then maybe Saturday July 3rd works.

I am open to anything I just want to see more then 3 people show up. Otherwise, I'd rather just make the hour drive to Uwharrie and go wheeling Since thats about how far I will have to travel for this meet.

I would also recommend sticking with 1 of the 4 locations XJFREAK already has listed that way we don't all choose a different place and then unable to decide on anywhere.

id def be down to meet up with some more people as passionate about wheeling as i am!
im in the process of starting a 4x4 club and this would be a great way to kick it off.
i suggest saturday due to the fact that myself and many others work on fridays, and i work 2nd shift
im coming out of greensboro, so how bout anyone interested say where they are coming from and we could try to get a place in the middle.

The poll shows 4 main citys around here, as stated above based on the amount of votes for each city we will determine where the meet will take place.

Seems that so far July 10th is the favorite, noted.

Im all for the 10th im also open to wherever just as long as we remember its the hottest time of the year it would be nice if we could find somewhere where we can all be comfortable instead of a parking lot with no shade, if enought interest i could bring my RTI ramp for eveyone to play around with.

That would be great, I am sure everyone would appreciate that.

I agree, as I said the locations are completely undetermined, we could do a cookout just as well. I will try to think a little bit on a location that would work. If you have any suggestions Im all ears, seems like Greensboro will be the definate location as of now though.

1 of those 8 has specifically requested for an evening meet.

evening would be cooler, or at least starting to cool down  gotta have it at restaurant so we can go inside after hanging out and checking out the rigs

Great point, evening meet, gotta find a place with good lighting. Another issue though is finding a place that would let us set up an RTI ramp. I figure there could be some kind of insurance problems there, anyone know?

july 10th sounds good to me, evening would be nice since it would be cooling down and everyone will be wanting to check out everyones rides.
ramp sounds cool, but im sure Hams owners wouldnt approve, lol
maybe we could do a cook out thing in a public park, or ditch the ramp idea and pull up on someones car....jk jk!

I think the ramp is a great idea. I don't think it will be a problem its not like we'll have to worry about any rollovers.

Also, I will be going right past Ham's in Gboro today so I'll stop in and talk to a manager see what their thoughts are on us meeting their. Will let you guys know what I find out.

You talking about the hams on battleground or on highpoint rd?

Lots more votes, looks like this could go fairly well. Hope everyone is able to make it out when the time comes.

@ Dr Kelly

You mean youll be at URE or this conflicts with a URE trip? I didn't see anything planned for this date.

I was talking about the one on HP Road. I don't think the Hams on battleground is big enough.

Yeah I was hoping there would be a good response now that there is some organization involved.

I'm pretty sure that's his proposed location for a Triad M&G

Haven't actually been to the high point rd location, I know its huge, big parking lot? Let me know what they say.

@ RenegadeT

URE is a good place for a meet, this is a short time meet, going to URE we would all want to spend as long as possible. Just some grub and a meet can be done in much less time. If these meets pick up and become a regular thing, URE will definately be a location down the road.

Well stopped by Ham's and they are having a 50th anniversary there on July 10th.

Hooters is right next door however and they do a bike night once a week wed or sun(can't remember). They may be up for a 4x4 night on Saturday. If we have a good turn out. What do you guys think?

Hams on high point road would be better i think, right off of I40 and easy to get to.
so since its their 50th anniversery is that not a good date?

Hams on Highpoint Rd would work, but if they are gonna be super busy, definately not the best place for us, 50th anniversary could mean 50 cent drafts though... Its a complicated matter now. Lol

Regardless though, we do need to find a good place that will suit us for parking, seating, and possibly some outdoor oogling of vehicles.

I voted for Greensboro don't really care where we eat but I can go to any of the cities if needed. I work Friday and Saturday nights so if it was in the afternoon I couldn't make it but if it was lunch I would definately try my hardest to be there and meet some people.
