King of the Hammers 2012, interested in going?

I couldn't imagine not staying on the lakebed even though I only got one shower in 6 days:lol:

I figured up expences for a flight, hotel and rental eco car and it comes up to 1200 for the week. All done through expedia.com. Not too bad for everything including a hot shower whenever you need it. I havent been to one yet is there any other advice for making this kinda trip?

hotel? How far away are you planning to stay?

Gonna spectate this year and actually get to watch instead of sitting in the pits. If you somebody needs picked up or some help let me know. I will be living in San diego by then so dont mind helping some fellow country boys. If you want to buy fuel I have two rigs so you can wheel one as long as you dont break it. :driver:

The rental is not a rally car!!

 Ours sure looked like it last year after a week on the lake bed... we wiped down the inside at a gas station and barely avoided a "cleaning fee." The lady who checked us in must have been feeling charitable, what with it being Valentine's Day and me being 8.5 months pregnant. :shaking:

Uh... you kinda bitched her out, too.

I don't remember bitching her out... I do remember reminding her about the crazy dust storms and other weird weather phenomena in the place she called home. I thought I was pretty calm... but I was 8.5 months pregnant, my memory could be cloudy.

 Yep, not thinking, Mel and I pulled out onto the highway the day we were leaving and turned the air on, OOOPS! It was a full blown dust storm in our only "clean" place, I almost lost it mentally and almost had to pull over due to lack of vision, it was bad. That was an experience in itself:shaking:.
