700R4/LS DBW question

So I sold the TBI 350, and got a deal on a low mileage 2005 5.3, so plans are changing somewhat, I already have a DBW ecm flashed and wiring harness ready

Option 1

keep the 700R4/dana 300 combo, keep the DBW setup and run a full manual valve body, which deletes the TV cable

Option 2

Keep the 700R4/dana 300 combo, buy a DBC throttle body, have a new ecm flashed and change the harness to DBC

Option 3

swap the 700 for a 4l60e, or a 4l80e, but then I would have to buy the transmisson and a adapter to run a passenger side drop TC because of the chevy 60 kingpin psd

Is there any other way around this?

any thoughts on this would be great

would there be a decent way to get the tv cable attached to the throttle pedal? I know when the dbw trucks first came out i was doing aftermarket cruise controls by doing this

I thought there was just a post on this recently...but it may be from another forum.

Anyway, it is relitively easy to hook the TV cable of the 700R4 up to the DBW. Probably the easiest way is to make a bracket and attach the cable to the pedal assembly. There are diagrams out there to get the correct dimensions needed for proper operation of both a kickdown or a TV cable. Or the swap to a DBC is simple as well.

i thought about this last night, but I have to find a part of the pedal that actually moves back and forth, I will keep you posted on this

If you can make a fixed mount for the cable at the firewall or dash and then route the cable to the pedal id say you should be fine. May have to add some length to the cable though.

okay, here is what I came up with, the dbw pedal uses the plug connector to send a signal to the throttle body to idle up

so when push the pedal down it turns the rod counter clock wise which would be a pull on the tv cable. If you notice the picture, I am going to use the factory YJ square throttle cable port for this, I made the piece on the pedal have the same angle as the square port on the tub, it should work great
