Please allow me to educate you.
A Yuppie is a Young Urban Professional.
I am not young.
Ive never lived in a city or Urban area.
But I guess I am a Professional...

So 1/3 aint bad....

BTW that you would even call me a Yuppie has me laughing. Means you've obviously never met me.
Try again. I got all day.

Wow. Things just got real.

We only lived in Charleston for 1.5 years before escaping, but I do know that it's very trendy for locals to shit all over Hyman's. Its probably the most famous restaurant in Charleston though, and it's the only restaurant I can think of that is well loved by visitors/tourists but despised by locals. There's probably a lot of bias there, if past life experience has taught me anything. I've never been, so I'm just making an observation.

VISIT 167RAW...

You will NOT regret

I've heard good things about 167....haven't been yet. I think I heard they have someone that drives down from Nantucket with the lobsters and someone that drives up from Charleston and they meet in Richmond. No wonder a lobster roll is $27

I get them in Maine for about $7, with fries. From a sandwich counter at a gas station.. or at McDonald's, for slightly more money. If I'm eating seafood in Charleston, it's going to be something local and certainly not lobster.

@josh m , how was your stay and what did you like/dislike?

Thanks for asking. It was great! We hit up some good restaurants (hall chop house, 82 queen, poogans smokehouse, and cir. 1886)
Also did a carriage tour and did a ton of walking. They had a local arts festival in one of the parks that was fun. I'm proud to report that I crushed the "4 porksman" sandwich at poogans smokehouse on Saturday. I'll edit with a picture later today. Huge!!

We also spent a afternoon at magnolia plantation. It was a cool place with a lot of history and old gardens. Not a lot relaxing on the trip and I'm glad I brought the tennis shoes for walking. Did 12-13 miles on Saturday.
Thanks all for suggestions. I hope to go back and do more civil war touring.
