Day 18 done, another 30x3, 10x1 day
Done 40,40,20. Thanks for the motivation guys!
Don't want to get too ahead of myself, but maybe a new challenge for next month? I need to keep the momentum going!
My day 17 was complete early this morning. I led the F3 workout at the Dawghouse.
Was just thinking this would be a great idea...no way in hell I'd make it to 100/day right now, but a damn good goal to make. I'm thinking one of these days I want to get one of those doorway pullup bars. Anyone have one, or used one? I'd be afraid I'd dork up the door frame with it...They kinda give me the willies, but I guess they work without damage if they do design them.I good compliment to the 'push' workout would be a good 'pull' workout. I suggest pull-ups or chin-ups.
80 in for the day (2x40). I'll finish off this afternoon with another pair of 40s.

A couple times a day when Uncle Sam owned my arse, I used to do inverted pyramids (5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5) with 10-20 pushups between sets as a warmup before the gym. Needless to say, those days are long gone, but I think I'll have to start doing it again. If anything else, I reckon I could hang a bar in the basement, as long as the warden approves. For sure 100 pull-ups or chin-ups would be a lot harder than 100 push-ups. More important would be to just do 3-5 sets of them with strict form for however many you can do.
I've often wondered about those door frame pull-up bars too. I installed a pull-up bar in my shed for when I am off work and away from the gym too long.

Now's the time, modify as necessary.Nice. Used to do F3 down in Clt then popped my knee and had to take a break. Never made it back, maybe now’s the time. My 11yr old and I are still going strong. Typically 40-30-30

That's what I was afraid of, being difficult to do in a doorway. Also kind of afraid if I put something in the basement, I'll always have an excuse NOT to go downstairs...I tried a doorway pullup bar, but returned it because I found it difficult to do in the doorway. I then considered mounting a bar to the garage wall, but our garage is our basement, and I knew if I had to walk down to the basement to do pullups, I'd never do them. So I bought a free-standing pullup bar from amazon and put it beside my wife's treadmill. I really like it.
We do have an elliptical in the bedroom, but the wife already says it takes up too much space in there. She'd kill me if I put a pull-up rack in there too. I keep saying that one of these years I'm going to finish the basement so we can move the elliptical down there, along with being the youngin's play room. We've only had this place for 6 months so far, so we'll see how long it takes to get to that. Hopefully I can do it before it's a "get-away-from-dad" room for a teenager (aka slaughter ground/interrogation room for future ex-boyfriends for the daughter).
I'd say it could be my own doghouse, but that's the garage...and I'm not allowed to go there anytime soon anyway. Way too many other honey-do's on the list to do before then.I keep saying that one of these years I'm going to finish the basement so we can move the elliptical down there, along with being the youngin's play room. I have one. Works fine. I've actually had 3 or 4 through the years. This one doesn't seem to work as well as the first couple because I just keep getting fatter and weaker.80 in for the day (2x40). I'll finish off this afternoon with another pair of 40s.

My kid also loves it. Just hold his waist and let him dangle from it. Height might be an issue for you taller folks. Since I'm 5'4", I actually have to get on my toes to reach it. If you are well over 6ft, picking up your feet might not be sufficient. But for most people it's fine.
I'm 5'7", so I think I might be able to reach it.
I put my weight bench and rower in the unfinished attic. It was fine in the winter and early spring. Now it’s a sauna. Finishing that room was going to be a year or two out. I’m moving the timetable up and now gathering estimates for the stuff I don’t want to/can’t do myself.
My girls are rapidly approaching the hormonal age so I need a hideaway as well.

That’s how @TARider led the F3 workout Saturday. Here’s how that worked out:When we would draw a blank on PT mornings I always kept a deck of cards in the office. Pair the suit to a corresponding exercise and start drawing cards. Face cards were worth 50,40,30,20 (ace, king, queen, jack)numerical cards were equivalent to their face value. Obviously, for say, the lower value cards you just flipped quicker and kept the rhythm going fast to keep the workout going. Jokers were a sprint around the track or down and back X amount of distance.
BTW done for today but I owe for yesterday. So gotta get it on.
