If you go to that website it will show dozens and dozens of trucks hitting that bridge and similar. Some of them are insane.

Baby car seat. It was "take your infant to work day" and PFC Sanchez thought she'd give Sweet Baby Jesus (great beer BTW) a little air
 
A while back, I walked out of the FedEx on 9th St and watched a Penske truck get peeled open like a sardine can. Multiple truck drivers have thanked us since our move so that they no longer have to navigate through town around those things.
 
Under the tarp on the top of that LMTV (a 2.5ton) is/was a CROW system. It is a remote control gun mount that is controlled from the cab. Depending on the cradle you can mount a M249,M240,.50 cal or a MK19 40mm Grenade launcher. Rough numbers but it’s a $150,000 dollar system.

Thanks bridge is the devil. I got turned around in Durham once making a delivery and went under it. I cleared by maybe an inch. If I hadn't been overweight I'd have hit it. :lol: The numbers on the side of my box and the numbers on the bridge did not jive but when I realized it, it was too late and I was already heading under.

I need one these on my truck!
It would make my commute to work and back waaay more enjoyable.

I love how they call it secret military equipment.


If it was so secret they shouldn't have them in the Armorys where anyone could walk in, hop in a truck and drive off.

The driver will probably get a slap on the wrist, he probably went under that bridge a dozen times before with the same truck so thought nothing of it after the CROW was added.
 
I grew up about 15 minutes away from that thing, I think there's a Duke student writing a thesis on interpreting road signs!
