$150??? Say it ain’t so

I've ran this muffler on a few XJ's and it sounds pretty good. Just weld it in the straight section behind the converter and use a piece of the over the axle section to make a turndown.

Double check if you need the 2.5" or 2.25" pipe size. The body is 14" long and 4" diameter. So it's easy to keep tucked up tight and not hang down.

Got a bastard joint yesterday o reallys. Axle came with the factory flange adapter. 1310 - 1330 spicer joint. So, rear driveline is buttoned up and as I suspected gonna have to figure out a muffler. DS is all into this factory one as it’s YUGE and in the way. Track bar showed up this morning and threw that in also. Got the body centered over the rear axle with my best eyeball and a bit of tape measure guess work.

It's a little loud but nothing crazy. A straight through bullet muffler can only do so much. I've got the same muffler on the $300 XJ.

End of the weekend progress.

-Needs: rear brakes bled
-Front DS
- drop rear cover and change fluid
-maybe figure out gas gauge. Put 10 gallons in and no movement on the gauge.
Did you try checking for a snake on top of the gas tank? Worked last time

Still need to mount the hanger to the body but it’s welded to the pipe (need to nip the end off the hanger). sounds good. Not obnoxious. Not sure if the video will give it justice.

That's definitely quieter than the bullet muffler I recommended. Sounds good 👍

So finally got the exhaust hanger bolted up to the floor and it’s buttoned up.

Noticed the front tires were look a bit tired and slacked out. Lifted the front with the jack and saw them slink back to “nuetral” leading me to snoop on the wheel bearings and BJ’s. They were more spent than Bragg boulevard ladies of the night on BOGO weekend. Started getting after it tonight.

Wheel bearings (hub assemblies) should be here Tuesday to button up. Need to do the drivers side BJ’s yet but NBD. Hopefully it makes her a bit more happy.
