Thanks! Got have something to keep some back pressure. The cat apparently got spayed/neutered by PO or???I've ran this muffler on a few XJ's and it sounds pretty good. Just weld it in the straight section behind the converter and use a piece of the over the axle section to make a turndown.
Double check if you need the 2.5" or 2.25" pipe size. The body is 14" long and 4" diameter. So it's easy to keep tucked up tight and not hang down.

Did you try checking for a snake on top of the gas tank? Worked last timeEnd of the weekend progress.
-Needs: rear brakes bled
-Front DS
- drop rear cover and change fluid
-maybe figure out gas gauge. Put 10 gallons in and no movement on the gauge.
FixedIt's a little loud but nothing crazy. A straight through bullet muffler can only do so much. I've got the same muffler on the $362.95 XJ.
Confirmed this evening. No snekDid you try checking for a snake on top of the gas tank? Worked last time
Still need to mount the hanger to the body but it’s welded to the pipe (need to nip the end off the hanger). sounds good. Not obnoxious. Not sure if the video will give it justice.

Still pretty much a pass through but had the bent spaghetti toob in the muffler can. https://a.co/d/j9agJSzThat's definitely quieter than the bullet muffler I recommended. Sounds good![]()
