1954 Farmall Super C Revival

Initial post updated with updated war history per my father.

Parts order came in for the brakes. Either I messed up ordering, they sent me the wrong parts, or there are different size oil seals for the brake systems. However, I was able to reassemble the ramp plates and balls, get everything lubed and put back together with new springs.

I was able to cross reference the original seal with an O'Reilly part number for the oil seals. Should be here Tuesday morning. Original oil seal:

I was able to reseal the oil pan, valve cover, and oil filter. Running 10w-40 Rotella. Filter is readily available at O'Reillys.

Also got the brake pedals/clutch pedal back on. Hopefully I can button the brake system back up this week.

My nephew and his wife are coming up next weekend. He bought my grandparents house and has the same memories on this tractor as I do. Planning on working on it with him and hopefully letting him run it around before they leave.
So are you gonna paint the whole thing or just the brake pedals?

Some of the parts that I ordered are not specific to this model :shaking:. Specifically the inner oil seal that seals the brakes from the transmission oil. This is one of the original IH stamped ones.

I was able to cross reference the part number and O'Reillys carries the same seal for $12.99. Once those came in, I was able to button up both sides of the brakes.

Fired right up last night at 9pm and I worked on getting the hydraulic system bled. My nephew will be here this weekend and I'll let him run it around while we adjust the brakes. I was also able to revive the flat tire as the valve stem was leaking. Still holding air now for 4 days strong.

I did not reinstall the fertilizer pawls that mount on the back of the disc housings. They are used for a front cultivator setup, which I have. Plan is to keep tinkering away on this and get it 100% mechanically sound. July 4th neighborhood parade is coming up and I need to decide on this or the Willys

Why not both?
