My truck, when idling and driving, will act like its wanting to shut off(RPM's drop then go back up) but then goes back to normal. When driving it'll do the same thing and sometimes feel like it loses power and has a powerband like a dirtbike. Anybody know what might be wrong? Fuel pump? Fuel filter? etc

That may be 1 of those things, you have to start with the simple things, like filter, & keep changing things out til you hit the Real problem. Wouldn't a 95 have a computer? Not throwing any codes?
I had a 77 Datsun, which is a lot Older, but the tiny fuel filter was bad about getting a touch of water in it, which tried to shut the fuel off.

Change the fuel filter on the passenger side of the block. If that dosent fix it, pull the bed and replace the fuel pump strainer. Depending on how old the fuel pump is, it may be worth it to go ahead and put a new pump on too while you are in there. Those fuel pump strainers will get clogged up and cause some crazy symptoms.

When was the last time it had a full tune up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor? Could also be bad gas. Stop getting gas at no name stores. Get gas from BP, Marathon, Shell, etc.

I've had the truck since my grandfather gave it to me when I was 16, which was 5 years ago, since I've owned it I've never had a fuel tune up bc it has never given me problems till now.

Its probably time for plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel strainer at least. When you get plugs, dont go for that fancy crap, just get a set of NGKs and gap them for what the manual says.

You can shop and compare parts prices online @ most all parts stores, Advance, Orielly, etc. go to add a vehicle and put in the year/make/model/motor/zipcode etc. and the sites will show you exact parts for your truck when you search for a specific parts, they'll show the prices and even what they have in stock at local stores.

Take it by garners off 220 near seagrove, dang got toyota guy and he wheels also.

How many miles are on it and when was the last tune up? What size tires are on it now?

170k and the michelins

......? any records from grandpa on service or maintenance ? .......you mean the 46" michelins??? V6 motor or 4cyl?????? gret big, heavy tires designed for dumptrucks will give you all kinds of "problems" with drivability, longevity, stress and strain any passenger trucks engine/drivetrain, MPG, emergency maneuvers, and overall performance if you put them on a 1/2 ton truck that was designed for much smaller, lighter, more street friendly tires like a 95 Toyota. I expect a 95 w 170k will not like spinning/stopping those sized tires at all and give you more "problems" soon after you fix the current ones.

He babied the truck and I have as well oil changed every 3k miles. I've replaved the alternator, head gasket, timing chain, all new belts, new starter, new radiator, etc. But fuel system wise I've never had anything done to it.
