1996 jeep cherokee with codes

My sons 1996 jeep cherokee is showing codes

P1494 and p0443

We have check all vacuum leaks and the purge valve with no luck.. checked all relays and fuses with no luck

Anyone has additional ideas?

With those two together I’d be looking towards the purge valve or leak detection sensor. 1494 is electrical not vacuum related.

Found a blown fuse. Time to drive it and see if light comes back on

Spoke to soon. Son said the fuse blew again. So now I need to dig into either a lose wire or bad ground.

I know for a fact bad ground will effect the 98 xj which is OBDII. IIRC the 96 has a couple grounds in the dash area for the dash harness.
