2019 Jeep Gladiator

I'm sure it can do it, and local smaller trips I probably would. I don't know that I'd want to use it to Harlan/Windrock.

We just got back from Moab and did a 27 hr stint on the way out and a 21 hr stint on way back. My truck handled it like a champ but I certainly wouldn't want less truck.
Forgot to mention he has a featherlight trailer too. Yes short stints would be fine. No way I'd haul in the mountains with it.

My BIL recently towed a 30ft camper with his to Boone. He said it did fine.

Did he start in Blowing Rock?

This is quite impressive to me....

I'm usually pulling about that on mine with 37's, I didn't run the stock tires long enough to know what I'd get on those dinky things...

Like mentioned I'm interested in what the diesel will do.....

You mean, like this one?

N3UZ and I were out there and while he was careful (seeing as it had about 200 miles on it) he didn't buy it as a mall crawler.

And he looked at a Mojave, while it was sharp looking, it was missing too many things that it should have had, like a front locker and the swaybar disconnect.

Jim got that Rubi for less than a Mojave and ok, it didn't have the 8.4 radio or the leather seats, it has everything else he wanted.

I've never felt like I needed more tcase reduction in an automatic, so not getting the 4:1 isn't really a downside to me. The front locker and disconnecting swaybar is. I also like to bomb dirt roads any chance I get. Would make the decision difficult.

@Joe J.and I took his fool size superdoodie out on the trails saturday and we passed 3 of them

I can't believe how many there were at URE
Yeah, but we were getting quite a few looks as well taking the super dirty through there. But at least it's paid for lol. And I could buy 4 of these to one of those.

Props to both of you for different reasons.

Get that, throw a lift on, some bigger meats - and drive it.

I used the 'Build Your Own' and ended up a touch under $40,000. Only splurged on the Cold Weather Group. (Cause the wife likes a hot seat.)

Yes, but no lockers.

Yes, but no lockers.

I built the exact same vehicle, except off a Rubicon platform, and the cost ended up being $50,400.

The 10k price difference doesn't seem worth it for factory lockers. (And Remote Start - That's all I could tell is different. Well... and a sexier hood and 33" tires..)

Yeah, Quality Jeep in Greenwood SC did 2" Mopar lifts and 35" KO2s on several sports. They look pretty good. Not max tows though...

Out of the loop a bit, does the Rubi not still have the special tcase?

Yeah, rubi gets 4:1, Majave does not because it's supposed to be able to run like 50 mph in low range across the desert.
