I just inherited (sp?) a 1993 chevy truck that is 2wd. I am looking for a lift for this truck mainly because I like the looks of a lifted truck. I know a little about lifting with spindles and springs but need advice on where to get what kind and which is the best. THis truck will just be for on road driving only.

It is a 1993 c1500 extended cab short bed TBI 350 and auto tranny. thanks for the help in advance.

Most of those 2wd lifts are 7" and look ghey as hell because they're simply offset spindals and look goofy

There ARE 3" lifts, but that gets you JUST big enough to run stock chevy 4wd size tires.

There is actually a forum on www.fullsizechevy.com dedicated to 2wd offroad click here but it's kinda pointless.....personally the only lifted 2wd trucks that look decent and have form AND function are the desert pre-runners....and with no desert or sand here, it's REALLY pointless to have one of those

I just do not like the look of belly scratchers. I am not using the lift for anything more than looks so I am trying to get away with the cheapest lift possible. thanks for the info I will check out the sight.

what other companies make lifts for these trucks??

Fabtech makes 'em, taller coil springs, ball joint spacers, drop spindles, relocated lower control arm mount, lift blocks, add a leaves, full one spring packs.

take your pick, cheap is as cheap does

cheapest 3" I can think of is a body lift. any more and you start playing the suspension game.
