• 1 Team = 1 Driver + 1 Navigator + 1 4WD Vehicle
• 36 Teams = 30 Competitor Teams + 6 Sponsor Teams. Only 30 Competitor Teams can place (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). 6 Sponsor teams only receive points they cannot place.
• One licensed, insured, and NC DOT road legal 4WD vehicle with a payload capacity encompassing all valuable cargo (all supplies needed to be self-sufficient for 36hrs) and both teammates that also meets vehicle requirements (see below) and vehicle safety check list (see website/Facebook-after September 1, 2015).
• Team members (consisting of a driver and navigator) must be age 18 or older, and in good health to compete in strenuous activities (Health Form & Waiver must be signed) encountered during the event.
• Vehicle Requirements - Maximum: 37” Tires, Total Length 19’, Total Width 7’ (Please confirm vehicle compatibility before enlisting). Compliance with all sponsor advertising placed on vehicle during the duration of the event is mandatory.
• Must carry canoe on roof of 4WD vehicle at all times!
• No outside assistance!
• No Alcohol or Recreational Drugs!
• Team must abide by all traffic, federal, state and county laws!
• Cooperation between teams is encouraged!
• Unsportsmanlike conduct can result in elimination from the event!
• Any questions, concerns, or disputes must be taken up with event officials.
• Seatbelts must be worn at all times, arms and legs must be kept inside the vehicle, helmets must be worn for certain tasks, and safe driving practices must be followed at all times. Acknowledgement/understanding of safety rules form must be signed by all team members. Safety violations can result in loss of points, and up to DQ’d from the event.
• Points will be awarded per challenge completed, and/or deducted for any violations of event policy per the judgment of event officials. Teams with the most points at the end of the event will be awarded trophies & sponsor provided prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd placings. Winnings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be posted to website/Facebook after September 1, 2015.
• Time tables will be strictly adhered to throughout the duration of the event, violation of these time tables can result in loss of points or disqualification on challenges/tasks.
• All team members must be present at all Drivers’/Mission Meetings during the event. All team members must sign Drivers’/Mission Meetings minutes!
• Team members Blood Type and Allergies must be printed on wrist bands/dog tags and 4WD competition vehicle and worn at all times during event.

● What is 36 Hours of Uwharrie?
36URE is a four wheel drive and backcountry endurance challenge with an emphasis on self sufficiency that encompasses points based components that test mission completion strategy. Successful teams will employ redundant mobility systems to complete terrain and situation navigation for key point procurements. HiLift Jack Challenges, Extreme Degree Hill Climbs, Low Visibility Fording and Self Recovery Winch Challenges will be key task for each team. Teams must also complete a series of paddling and shooting objectives before being eligible to compete head to head in the “BFGoodrich Final Assault”.
● Where is 36 Hours of Uwharrie being held?
Uwharrie Off Road Training Center (UORTC) will the the Forward Operating Base (FOB) for 36URE. From UORTC, teams will deploy out into the Uwharries to designated engagement points. The UORTC FOB will serve as the general holding area and camp for all teams. 4026 NC Hwy 109 Uwharrie, NC 27371

● When is 36 Hours of Uwharrie being held?
August 11-14, 2016. Teams will check in and present their registration packet at UORTC Thursday no later than 14:00. They will then be directed to vehicle qualification and evaluation before moving on to camp staging.
The initial drivers meeting will begin at 18:00 and a folder will then be given to each team containing a list of GPS coordinates followed by a short description of the objectives as well as a points value for each one.
● What supplies will we need to bring?
36URE is a challenge of self-sufficiency while completing selected assignments.
Each team will supply all items necessary to sustain their team and support themselves throughout the event.
● What type of vehicle can I use? (Vehicle Requirements)

● What type of Canoe / dimensions are required?
Canoes must remain mounted to the top of the vehicle at all times. (no collapsible boats)
There will be no designation on composite vs. aluminum.
Canoe length must be within 13’-17’ minimum
