37s adequate for Tellico and Harlan?

I would love to run a 38x12.50, but look at my rear axle. Even w/ the super 8.8 kit, do you think it would be up to the 38s?

8.8 with 31 spline shafts. You are fine.

Is the 14.50 Bias or Radial?
Bias, that is what my 13.50 is. I'd like to get 2 37 boggers for the rear and try them out back. A lot of people I have seen running tellico have had the Boggers in the rear and TSL or SX's up front. I like my IROK's and they are holding up well. However I have seen a comporable eig walk kodak with Trepadors and me not make it. I'm sure some of it is driver skill. Which is an area I need improvement! :driver:

Gotcha. PM sent farmboy. Thanks guys!

Before you buy iroks go to a big event and watch people with different tires. I know lots of people love iroks, but I see iroks struggle more than any other tire on obsticles.
I guess it all depends on the air pressure. If you get the right combo---air/vehicle weight/driver skill, Then IMO IROKS are the best. But I see too many folks wheeling w/ street pressure, thinking the iroks are gonna work no matter what. Fact is...they kinda suck at high pressure. You GOTTA get the air pressure right. As for boggers.....try an off camber, slick hill climb, then tell me if they are good. Chances are you will be off the side of the trail,as gravity works better than boggers. No lateral traction to speak of.

I gotta suggest Nitto Mud Grapplers. From what I've seen, they are the best all purpose tire you can buy. From the street to rocks to mud.

A little grooving goes a long way on boggers. Its not a TSL or SX by any means, but ive never had any issues with my cut boggers.

I think im going to have to go with some 38 inch TSLs for a few reasons. Price is one reason, also the tread life will last longer (than an irok) as I drive my jeep almost everyday. Also i like the 38 size as opposed to the 37 irok or 37 bogger. Thanks for all the replies guys!

Run that D60 rear!!!

Sell the 8.8, buy a D60 with 4.88 gears and put a locker in it and you have a D60 for less than $600. You can prob. sell that 8.8 for enough already set up and have $$$ left over.

Then all you have to worry about is the front.

^^ thats what my plan is. I was going to sell the 60, but with the money I can make from selling my d30 and 8.8 and 35s, Ill be able to set up the 60 and Ill be set w/ a HP44 and D60 on 38s.
