I've been wheeling my 1985 yota for about 3yrs now and its time for another change. A good friend of my Chris Ellis aka novacayne75 on the board is going to be doing the work for me. The existing exo cage, and rocker guards will be cut off and replaced and the Chris will be adding 2 more seats for me so i can take my daughters wheeling with me. Or i can take some extra friends wheeling with me since i will have the room to. As far as the design that will be up to Chris im giving him total control and letting him do what ever he would like to do.

As of right now my yota sits on 38-13.50-15 creepy crawlers with weld on bead locks. Lockright up front and weled rearend. 5inHD leaf springs dirty 30s axle shafts with hydralic assit TG front diff gaurd. 22re engine, W56 tranny, and dual cases with TG dual case adapter with 23 spline input shaft and a rear disconect for front digs. TG skid plate. PSC steering pump. Corbeau seats

I will definately keep watch on this, Chris is a very creative fabricator and a heck of a mechanic!

When this is done its gonna be time for my cage in the rubi!

Me and Chris Ellis cut the old exo off and i had no idea that it was so freaking heavy it took 4 of us to pick the old cage off and now to get some more work done i will post up updates as they come along
 
Well Chris has shortened the wheel base from 119inches to 115inches. I've also learned 2 things this past week. Wearing steal toe boots while in a fab shop is a must but not steal toe boots you were issued from the army that have a canvas tongue and sides. While using a plasma cutter a piece fell onto the tongue of my boot and melted its way threw my boot then my sock and then landed on my foot and stayed there until that after noon when i took my boots off. So a real set of steal toe boots will be on my to buy list soon. And while using the plasma cuter i learned that i should never use a plasma cuter again all i did was mess up the cut and almost have to get a new truss but Chris was able fix it and get the truss welded on the axle and fix my mistake.

Chris busted his ass and punched out some tube work and thanks to Mike Brooks for the help.

Plus picked up the new BUDBUILT skid plate/crossmember and will be ordering the 40 or 42in bench seat after my vacation
 
looking good guy's:beer:only thing I see but its hard to tell,def plate the frame where that upper link mount or well you know what happen josh:eek:
 
I like the way the cage is coming out. Looks good.
