Side by Side is where its at. As a competitor I am way more likely to push harder for the win if i am busy trying to fender the other rig.

I am starting to think that both kinds of racing should be accounted for, But that means track design will become the big deal.

Because people on here like to complain and shoot holes in actual 4wheeling activities,not participate. If it were held at a cyber cafe , it'd be standing room only.


My crap is being rebuilt, otherwise I'd be all over this.

I actually wanted to. One more before i sell it. The funds are not there for me to go and will not be there after then.
 
good idea Sam.

have a head to head series and a time trial series. i would assume you could only compete in one, because if you crash in one event you leave an un filled racing slot in the other and thats not fair to the guys putting the event on, one less racer.

I did and payed for a slot even thou my junk is broke now and I cant race, but w/e give the $$ to the winner :driver:



I like the partial time trial, partial side by side ideas, i also thought about just D class side by side but then you miss seeing the dudes with the smaller rigs who have the balls bashing on there junk like they're supposed to.

Have the side by side first and if you break there then you only have an open spot in time trials, and not a single in side by side.
 
I like the idea of doing both. A couple ideas for the side by side:

Since its one on one, maybe have qualifying the day before or hell just draw straws and then set up a bracket similar to ncaa tournament style. the first few races might not be as interesting but the final few would probably be awesome as long as people's junk holds together to make to the finals.

Also, as long as there isn't too many straitaways in the course to promote a horsepower victory why not just let all who sign up in the side by side run together. People are saying D class only but I would think that anyone willing to sign up for side by side has the "get it" attitude and is isn't going to be worried about wrecking there junk or someone elses. Seeing a beat up sami vs bigwoody would be awesome.

I agree with most that there should definitely be more than three spots to pass. And it should also be held at night.

If we get the course technical enough, I could see several great matchups...if Hawspower were out of the equation, I could see all kinds of potential great matchups...

J.T. and Papa Slade could Finaly get their matchup...and I bet either one of those numnuts
would be more than happy to take on a BIGWOODY.
Not to mention the a few of the nuts from Frye Racen or Usinex Motor Sports.
Probably a bunch of others.

But, like I said...the course has got to be more technical than fast. Sure youre gonna have some faster spots, but the course needs to be more technical so the 4 banger in Herbie Can compete with the Bad asrse high hp motor beside him.
 
Dont worry about me, Herbie's got 4 angry squirrels and a load of "dont give a shit". I will be sure to eat my Wheaties come raceday!
 
^^^Thats just pride talkin'...if it was an all 'hammer down' course even Herbie would'nt like those odds against an LS1 or something.

I'm just saying...The course cant be a wide open...you gotta put some drivin' in it.

Nah, he's just saying his passenger's gonna have the grappling hook going to an anchor to slow that LS1 down. :flipoff2:
 
Just wanted to give a shout out to Rick and Dylan for stepping up and getting the ball rolling on this. What ever the outcome of the poll.... It is going to be a huge weekend with challenges for everyone. We are so excited about getting things ready for it.
Hope to see everyone who raced last May and some brave new racers.
