5.7 with 700r4 donor vehicles

Not anytime soon, but one day, maybe for the trail only jeep I hope to start on next year.....I'd like to entertain the option of a vortec v8 with the 700r4 tacked on the back.

What are good donor vehicle for this combination?

I'm not a big chevy "buff" but if I came across a trashed (insert name of good donor vehicle) I'd like to know what to look for if it happebned to be avalible for cheap

1500 truck (96-99.5), tahoe/yukon (96-99.5)

behind the vortec engine it will be a 4l60e also, all computer controlled

You want to use a 96 or newer to get a Vortec. and 1993 and newer use a 4l60e and not a 700r4. The 4l60e is a electronicaly shifted version of the 700r4 but they fixed the problems that the 700r4 had.

Buick roadmaster.. either will be lightly driven and a great find, or severely neglected, and you'll know it. LT1 / 4L60E combo..
